Protecting our Prime
Farmland is of tremendous importance here in
Fairfield
County
and across
Ohio.
Programs such as the Agricultural Easement Purchase Program and the
establishment of Agricultural Security Areas both through the Ohio
Department of Agriculture or donation of Conservation Easements to
private non-profit groups commonly referred to as "land trusts" such
as the Fairfield Land Preservation Association provide landowners
with options to assist with perpetual protection of family
farmlands.
